When Negative is Positive

If you’re expecting this post to be about numbers or ions, you’ll be disappointed! There are other, more personal arenas, when negative can be positive. I recently had blood work done because the doctor was concerned my symptoms could’ve been something very serious. It came back negative (praise Jesus!) which was a huge positive!!

There are seasons or circumstances we face that are difficult and sometimes heart wrenching. By all accounts, they are bad, yet God promises to turn them into good (Romans 8:28). James 1:2-4 explains how this often happens: Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (NIV)

The road to something amazing often takes dark and challenging turns. But as we seek and trust the Lord, we can see the negatives for what they truly are – greater positives than we could ever imagine!
